Quarter of a Million

Yesterday this site passed the 250,000 hits mark, which is quite exciting. And the Facebook fan page is growing. I should really figure out some way to make some money out of this, shouldn’t I? I don’t do adverts, partly because WordPress won’t let me and partly because I think it looks a bit tacky. If 101 Things moved to its own domain it could have adverts but I very much doubt anyone actually wants adverts, and I’d feel bad for making you look at them. So I don’t.

Anyone want to offer me a book deal? Or failing that, just hand me a wad of cash?

You could always stick a little PayPal or Amazon ‘donate’ button in the sidebar. That way if anyone does feel like giving you something then it’s easy enough.

What about if it were adds for things that people might really want? Chubby Hubby in Singapore has a nice blog with kitchen type gear adds. Love your blog by the way this is my first visit and I WILL be back!

As long as the adverts dont pop on the page everyone just ignores them!

If it’s some nice clean Google Ad’s down the side then I wouldn’t be that bothered, or if it was Ads / Links thru to specialist ingredient / foodstuff / kitchenware site’s it might even add something to the site..

It’s my first time here, and I like what you’re doing. Well done! I run a website and have a few ads on there that pay reasonably well. You really have to look hard for them though. If you want, I’ll send you a link to the site and you can see for yourself (I won’t shamelessly hawk it here).

I agree with the attractively named ‘Catering Equipment’ – just don’t have them popping up/under. There’s nothing wrong with making a bit of cash from your hard work.

By the way, it’s moules all the way for me too – unless they have truffles on the menu. 🙂
